Ice bathing

Hi Guys,

Do you use ice bathing as a recovery method after exercise and if so how long do you usually take an ice bath for?  Do you follow this with a warm shower?

  1. I use an ice bath after soccer training and find it is really helping my recovery in pre season. What we do is we take an ice bath for 4 minutes and then follow this with a warm shower. I was hesitant at first about the idea but I am a firm believer that ice baths are a necessary evil!!!
